Satyam College of Education owes its existence to 'Satyam Educational Society' .The college appeared on the
map of Moga in 2005. Pursuing the objective of serving the rural students in their educational and professional
growth, Satyam Educational Society has put forth tireless efforts to start a college for educating the would be
teachers. The college aspires to contribute to holistic development by providing trainee teachers with quality
professional training and instilling high moral values.
Education is a progressive discovery of our own ignorance. Modern systems, techniques and innovations are
made available to the students without compromising with the traditional values so as to help students discover
themselves. Youth must be taught how to think but not what to think.
Keeping this philosophy in mind we seek to
inculcate in our students a quick thinking attitude that is based on critical thinking and analytical skills so as to
enable them to be successful in their personal & professional life. The would be teachers are trained so as to
assume the different roles of a teacher be resourceful and also capable of conducting research activities for the
development of knowledge. Experience faculty in the college strive hard to develop knowledge, passion and integrity in teacher trainee so
as to make them fully functional human being and above all a teacher who is to looked forward by students as
friend, philosopher and guide . The institution will continue to strive for quality and aim to achieve further higher
quality standards.
The college authorities take special interest in promoting the games sports and physical training activities. The college has extensive and well maintained playgrounds and facilities for major indoor, outdoor games and sports.
The stay in hostel is must for the girl students whose residence is 25 kms. away from the college. The college has arranged commodious, well- furnished hostel equipped with all modern amenities. A student desirous of joining the hostel, on admission to the college, shall apply on the prescribed form available from the college office along with brochure containing hostel rules & regulations. Hostel facility has been arranged for girls .
Students are being sent to the following schools for teaching practice and many of the students have been offered jobs during their teaching practice
The college is affiliated to the Panjab University, Chandigarh and is recognized by NCTE, Jaipur. Course shall be made strictly according to rules and regulations / guidelines framed by NCTE/Punjab Govt./ Panjab University. The college has been granted one unit (50 seats).

The college is affiliated to SCERT, Chandigarh and is recognized by NCTE, Jaipur. The college has been granted one unit (50 seats). Admission to E.T.T. course shall be made strictly according to rules and regulations / guidelines framed by NCTE/Punjab Govt/SCERT.
Every student seeking admission to the M.Ed./B.Ed/E.T.T course shall be required to attach the following documents with the application form and no document will be entertained after the submission of the form. Attested copies of certificates should be attached along with the admission form and original certificates will have to be produced at the time of admission.
1. A certificate of character from the Principal of the institution in which the candidate studied last or in case of the teacher, from the Head of
the institution in which he/she worked last M.Ed./B.Ed./E.T.T.
2. An attested copy of the showing Date of Birth Certificate.
3. Domicile Certificate.
4. Attested copies of certificate and degrees (X /+2 /B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Part I, II & III / M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. and any other) along with detail
marks card.
5. Certificates for special claims : Candidates seeking admission on the basis of special claim, such as being daughter of army personnel,
distinction in sports at the university, Inter University, National level ; Handicapped, deserted, divorced etc. shall produce a certificate from
the competent authority as specified in the application form supporting the claim. Incomplete form will be rejected without any obligation
whatsoever.

Satyam College Of Education is a place of learning, fun, culture, lore, literature and many such life preaching activities. Studying at the Satyam College Of Education brought an added value to my life. It gave me an opportunity to meet different kind of people and learn a number of things. Special attention is paid to co-curricular activities in order to develop students' talents, go as to bring out their creativity and provide them opportunities for self expression. Co-curricular activities are of immense value in the present day curriculum. Co-curricular activities are the best means of channelising the child's instincts into healthy and fruitful channels. Co-curricular activities help in the service and sentiment of loyalty. An emphasis is laid on the all round development of the students and it gives exposure to the pupil teacher, so that they can implement them in the school's future
All students on the rolls of the college are issued Identity Cards on joining the college. On the presentation of Identity Card the students will be issued Library Membership Cards. Students are requested to keep their Identity cards with them. These must be produced when demanded or when checked by an official of the college. The Identity Card is non-transferable. If a student looses his/her Identity/ Library Card, he/she can be issued a duplicate one on a payment of Rs.50
